Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still
Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still Intro

Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still

It is often something “deep” in our life that leads us to put pen to page and the age-old practice of collecting our thoughts on paper.

It is when we grace pen to page on a regular basis that we are journaling, harvesting the wealth of knowledge generated from our experiences. Journaling is a practice that allows us the ability to go beyond simply collecting our thoughts. As we journal, we find ourselves going “deeper” generating useful insights about ourselves and those with whom we share our life journey.

While there are many journals which use quotes to motivate and urge the journaler deeper, Deeper Still takes the individual deeper by asking open-ended questions about what the quotes stir within them.

The journal contains approximately 120 quotes with at least three questions per quote. The quotes come from famous folks in literature, religion, politics, the arts, and yet-to-be-famous people who sent us quotes that came from their families.

For example, one woman told us her grandmother warned her from childhood “never marry a bachelor”. We included it in the book because, well, what did grandma mean? While mixed in their presentation, the quotes could be bucketed into personal growth, spirituality, career and relationships. The journal also includes b/w photographs also meant to spur thoughts.

When we have access to the wealth of our own knowledge and put that wealth to use, our lives tend to become more fluid, our roots deeper into solid ground. Here we find ourselves “deeper still” or “deeply still”, our thoughts, feelings, actions, and choices supported and nurtured through awareness.

Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still will help you on your journey to a life alive with rich awareness, growth, and connection.

A thoughtful gift for teachers, friends, care-givers, bosses.

Jerilyn Willin is a speaker, performance development consultant, and career strategies/retirement coach. In 1996, following her entrepreneurial spirit, she founded JWillin Consulting, Ltd. Her work has taken her all over the United States as well as to Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Helping individuals get in touch with and develop their potential is Jerilyn’s passion. A quote in Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still says “Most of us go to the grave with their song still in them”. Jerilyn believes every person, no matter what their situation, has within them the power to discover and sing their song aloud. What often gets in the way is reading from someone else’s songbook or not trusting our own voice.

She encourages clients on a journey deeper into their held beliefs about work and their potential. Exploring through dialogue, questions, journaling, and safe experiences individuals discover and experience not only the journey to full potential but the courage to act on what they find. It is never too late to find your voice or your song.

Jerilyn lives outside Chicago with her husband and two Old English Sheepdogs. Her dogs remind her every day of what is important: love unconditionally, play with abandon, nap when you need to, and drink plenty of water.

Wendy M. Warden is a coach, facilitator and avid photographer. In her coaching Wendy focuses on holistic healing of mind, body and spirit.

Along with “talk-therapy” she successfully works with writing, visualization, meditation, and prayer as tools for developing self-awareness and healing practices. She strongly believes, only in a context free of unproductive thoughts and feelings, that true wellness can be achieved and maintained. Journaling is one of the best and most cost effective tools available to us.

As a photographer Wendy is all about "capturing the moment” where life is vibrant and precious, provocative and striking, raw and truthful. All too often these moments pass without notice to be lost in our fast paced lives. Much like journaling, meditation and prayer a moment captured in a photograph can be a powerful visual way to ground us, reminding us of what is important in our lives, true in our hearts and of the most value to our wellbeing and happiness.

This journal, in partnership with Jerilyn, is a long-term dream of Wendy’s to promote journaling and as a tool for creating more mindful and joyful life.

Wendy lives in northern Illinois with her husband David and their two Newfoundland dogs, Laila and Corey.
